  • The Burning Plain - 2929 Productions (limited) -A drama with a two-tiered storyline concerning a mother (Kim Basinger) and daughter (Charlize Theron) who try to form a bond after the young woman’s difficult childhood.
  • Disgrace (limited) - Fortissimo Films, 120 mins. - In this South African film, John Malkovich plays a professor who loses his job after having sex with one of his students, and goes into the bush to live with his lesbian daughter who is repeatedly raped by local boys. This narrative festure explores the racial tension that still exists in South Africa.
