Well, Marsden was in the X-Men and such, right? Non-SF people might not take the movie very seriously if he's face is on the poster. I realize that Diaz was on Charlie's Angels, but she's also been in movies with Julia Roberts and John Cusack, so has a more general appeal. So it makes sense to put face on the poster.

It does seem a little odd that Tina Fey supposedly couldn't take one night off to host the Oscars.

I tend to think of my calling women mysterious as an acknowledgement of the limitations of my predictive ability concerning their behavior due to insufficent data. What I don't think women quite understand about men is our striving to remove contradictions from our lives. While we often fail, we like to think of ourselves as simple, logical, and straight forward. It bothers us when we are a contradiction; we consider it a logical error when we contradict ourselves. Men do end up contradicting themselves, but this is because our struggle to be consistent is an uphill battle against reality.
