Christy Lemire is the film critic for The Associated Press, based in Los Angeles. Christy started writing movie reviews in March 1999 while working in the AP's Dallas bureau, then spent nearly six years at the New York headquarters, where she became the AP's first full-time film critic. She covers all the major awards shows and frequently appears on television, including several guest critic spots on "Ebert & Roeper." Christy grew up in L.A. and graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
