They say Hollywood is full of egos, but David Guy Levy hasn’t gotten that memo.

“I try to think more about how to get a movie made — do I have a problem with the credit or do I want to get this movie made?” says the producer, who launched Periscope Entertainment in 2004, took “August” to Sundance in 2008 and this year completed John C. Carole Horst graduated from Penn State University and moved to Los Angeles in 1988, where she took a copy editing post at the now-defunct California magazine. When the magazine closed in 1991, she found her calling at Daily Variety, and was recently named editor of weekly Variety.
