Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is going to be a major consideration during awards season. Critics Choice, Golden Globes, Oscars. Frances McDormand, the leading actress is probably going to win the Best Actress Oscar. Continue reading…

The story is about a women, played by Frances McDormand, whose daughter has been brutally murdered. It has been seven months, but police have not done much to solve the crime. What she decides to do is put up three billboards in Ebbing, Missouri, where the crime took place, shaming the police department. The Police Department officers are played by Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell. And, amazing performances from them, as well, and it’s a perfect blend of dark comedy and drama.

This is the type of film where the performances stand out overall, compared to the story itself. I loved it because of France McDormand’s performance and, again, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell are also great. I am giving it four out of five stars. And, mark my words, I believe Frances McDormand will be winning the Best Actress Oscar for this performance.
