Rey is back, played by Daily Ridley, and she is trying to get Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, back to the resistance to fight the first order Andkylo Ren. Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) is Luke’s sister and is hoping Rey will convince him to come back and fight together with them.
Rey has a lot of force awakenings within herself and is hoping to be a Jedi and is hoping Luke will train her. The story goes from there.
What I loved about the movie is Luke and Leia. We don’t see a lot Luke in The Force Awakens. I like the continuation of Rey’s story line. The biggest thing I loved about this film are two two lightsaber action sequences. This is a spoiler-free review, so I will not give anything away, but there are two amazing lightsaber scenes that are totally worth the price of admission. People were cheering. It was amazing for Star Wars fans. And, I loved it.
I love the Borgs. They are in the movie throughout They are not huge, but they are fun. I loved that the film incorporated new little creatures. I thought the director, Ryan Johnson, played it too safe with some of the characters. I wish they could have tightened up the beginning and middle. I don’t think it was as magical or as great as The Force Awakens. But I give it four out of five stars.
