WEEK IN WOMEN: Camila Cabello to Star in CINDERELLA – Brandy McDonnell reports

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Camila Cabello will make her feature acting debut in a new movie version of the beloved fairy tale Cinderella.

For the project, the Havana hitmaker is teaming with Kay Cannon, a three-time Emmy-nominated producer for 30 Rock who penned the Pitch Perfect movies before making her directorial debut with last year’s femme-centric teen comedy Blockers.

Cabello will not only star in the project, set up at Sony’s Columbia label, but also will be integrally involved in the music for the film. Sony is putting the project on the fast track. Continue reading on THE WEEK IN WOMEN.
