Award-winning Spanish filmmaker Sonia Sebastian has cast Golden Globe nominee Penelope Ann Miller and Dermot Mulroney in her upcoming third feature film The Virgin of Highland Park.

Co-written by Sebastian and Miguel Alcantud, the indie film follows a virgin teenager who, when she takes a physical to join the soccer team, is astounded to learn that she is pregnant.

The girl desperately tries figure out an explanation – she is neither ready to become a mother nor ready to think of herself as the iconic Virgin – as her life begins to fall apart. Continue reading on THE WEEK IN WOMEN.
