Jodie Foster will direct an untitled fact-meets-fiction feature based on the Seymour Reit book The Day They Stole the Mona Lisa. Bill Wheeler is writing for Jodie Foster to direct.

The Mona Lisa crime drama is one of several films moving fast at the Los Angeles Media Fund, which is broadening its footprint with increasingly ambitious feature films, scripted and unscripted series and Broadway productions.

Los Angeles Media Fund’s exec, George Soros, has described the project as mixing truth and fiction with emphasis on the characters behind the crime. Continue reading on THE WEEK IN WOMEN.
