Award-winning indie film producer Karin Chien is teaming up with New York-based Louverture Films.
Co-founded by Joslyn Barnes and Danny Glover along with partners Susan Rockefeller, the Bertha Foundation and Sawsan Asfari, Louverture’s credits include RaMell Ross’ Hale County This Morning, This Evening (2018) and Yance Ford‘s Strong Island (2017), both Oscar-nominated documentaries.
The first collaboration planned between Barnes and Chien is an upcoming installation project by RaMell Ross.
Louverture plans to work with Chien as it expands into fiction and series projects in addition to nonfiction work. Continue reading on THE WEEK IN WOMEN.
