WEEK IN WOMEN: Jessica Chastain’s THE SAVANT premiere is still on hold- Brandy McDonnell reports

Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain stars in and executive produces the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series The Savant, a gripping eight-episode limited series that will make its global debut on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes on Friday, Sept. 26. New episodes of the suspenseful, high-stakes series will follow every Friday through Nov. 7.

Inspired by a true story published by Cosmopolitan, the tense and thrilling series follows an undercover investigator known as The Savant (Chastain) as she infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop domestic extremists before they act. The cast of The Savant is also led by Nnamdi Asomugha (The Knife), Cole Doman (Bust), Jordana Spiro (Ozark), Trinity Lee Shirley (Da Bottomz), newcomer Toussaint Francois Battiste and guest star Pablo Schreiber (Orange Is the New Black).

Hailing from Fifth Season, The Savant is executive produced by Chastain and Kelly Carmichael for Freckle Films, Emmy Award winner Alan Poul (Six Feet Under, Tokyo Vice), Emmy Award nominee Melissa James Gibson (Anatomy of a Scandal, House of Cards, The Americans), and six-time Emmy Award winner and two-time Directors Guild of America Award winner Matthew Heineman (A Private War, Retrograde, Cartel Land).
