STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI — Review by Lauren Veneziani

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Episode Eight, is one of the biggest movies of the year. The Force Awakens, Episode Seven, came out two years ago. This is a continuation of that story. Rey is back, played by Daily Ridley, and she is trying to get Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, back to the resistance to fight the first order Andkylo Ren. Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) is Luke’s sister and is hoping Rey will convince him to come back and fight together with them.
Rey has a lot of force awakenings within herself and is hoping to be a Jedi and is hoping Luke will train her. The story goes from there.

THE SHAPE OF WATER — Review by Lauren Veneziani

The Shape of Water is the work of director, Guillermo del Toro, who is known for his visionary filmmaking. The film is a sort of Beauty and the Beast. It is set in 1962 and Sally Hawkins is a mute janitor who works in a science facility that is holding an aquatic creature to study it. She and the creature have their own way of communicating with each other through sign language, and they end up falling in love.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is going to be a major consideration during awards season. Critics Choice, Golden Globes, Oscars. Frances McDormand, the leading actress is probably going to win the Best Actress Oscar. The story is about a women, played by Frances McDormand, whose daughter has been brutally murdered. It has been seven months, but police have not done much to solve the crime.
