Ballerina is a solid John Wick spinoff, has lots of shootouts; creative kills involving grenades, a samurai sword, and a flamethrower; the courtly rules of the safe-haven hotel, The Continental, and Keanu Reeves appearing as Wick, the Baba Yaga himself. But the character depth isn’t there, rendering parts of it tiresome. Ballerina likely will whet the appetite of the John Wick faithful, but it’s not quite on point.
