CONFINEMENT – Review by Marina Antunes
While the rest of the world and more than a few movies, obsess over evil AI’s, Peter Howitt, whose notable works include Sliding Doors, Laws of Attraction and In the Name of the Father, the latter of which, I’m sorry to say I have yet to see, has opted for a far more classic evil: the demon child. I love to bask in the glow of a cheesy pseudo-horror with demonic overtones and from the opening scene of Confinement, there is an inkling that perhaps this movie will deliver on the promise of its ridiculous premise but alas, it is not meant to be.
