THE KINGS OF THE WORLD – Review by Jennifer Green

From the start, it’s clear that director Laura Mora Ortega is going to be a difficult watch. Teenager Rá (Carlos Andrés Castañeda) lives on the mean streets of Medellín. His makeshift family includes best buddies and fellow street urchins Sere (Davison Florez), Nano (Brahian Acevedo), Winny (Cristian Campaña) and Culebro (Cristian David Duque). They survive by selling stolen junk and finagling beds at a run-down local hostel. Occasionally they get into machete fights.
