IT LIVES INSIDE – Review by Susan Kamyab

Scary movies are hitting theaters early to get you in the Halloween spirit. One of those films is Neon’s It Lives Inside. But will this film ignite enough fear to make it a thrilling watch? The story follows Samidha, an Indian American teenager who’s struggling with her cultural identity. In an effort to fit-in, she has a falling out with her best friend Tamira, which releases a demonic entity that grows stronger by feeding on her loneliness. It’s a terrifying concept and the previews make it appear to be as chilling as The Ring, but this is nowhere near as scary.

In Amy Seimetz’s newest film, sadness is palpable. That really is the entire premise of the film. The idea of impending death spreads like a disease. Hauntingly scored, She Dies Tomorrow puts you into a state of foreboding from the very first image.

The new documentary, a compilation comprised entirely of previously unseen archival footage, offers viewers an extraordinary ‘you are there’ experience of the moonshot, especially the film is seen on IMAX or other large screens.
