With social discussion trending on solidarity and collective bargaining, and focusing on what’s at stake for union members walking the picket lines to preserve their jobs, Labor Day celebrations rise to a new level of relevance. Thus far this year, 170 official labor actions have been recorded and there were a total of 345 official actions in 2024, according to the Cornell University Labor Action Tracker. The power of collective bargaining will determine how successful the unions will be in their demands for fair compensation and safe working conditions for their members. This Labor Day, celebrate workers by watching documentaries and truth-based narrative features about the lives of labor leaders and union actions that reflect positive change.  Here is a list of suggestions..
