Scoop, Netflix’s drama about the downfall of Prince Andrew, drives home the old proverb – “If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas” – a warning to be mindful of who we surround ourselves with and what behavior we condone. The plot of Scoop revolves around how – back in 2019 – the BBC secured an exclusive interview with the Duke of York about his friendship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The broadcast ultimately triggered Andrew’s disgrace, confiscating his HRH title, patronages and removing him from Royal life.

Prince Andrew is a prat and his handlers were fools to let him do that interview about Jeffrey Epstein with BBC Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis. That’s the main take-away in Scoop, a new Netflix feature that recreates the infamous 2019 interview that went so badly for the buffoonish prince that it altered his public role forever. Andrew came off as an entitled blowhard and the Epstein scandal just got bigger.

If you enjoyed watching Keri Russell in FX’s The Americans, follow her as she switches sides as an insecure American Ambassador in Netflix’ The Diplomat. Smart ‘n’ savvy Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) is a longtime Foreign Service officer, specializing in delicate negotiations in the Middle East. Just as she’s about the leave for a new post in Kabul, she’s abruptly dispatched as Ambassador to the United Kingdom – taking up residence in Winfield House, near London’s Regent’s Park.

Rufus Sewell on THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE and Donald Trumph — Gill Pringle interviews

Rufus Sewell, 49, has received some of the best reviews of his career for his role as Obergruppenführer John Smith in Amazon Prime’s The Man in The High Castle. Loosely based on a Philip K Dick novel, it poses an alternative history of North America if the Nazis had won the Second World War. It’s little surprise that the Donald Trump campaign was one of the main advertisers on the show, about which he says, “I don’t think that’s an accident.”
