Food Inc. 2 is a masterclass on how to open your eyes, make better choices, and fight for your rights as a consumer to have safe food and natural food available. It may inspire you to grow a garden. It may inspire you to eat less meat and dairy. The only way Big Ag will respond to the marketplace is if you educate yourself, support politicians who see this hypocrisy, and use your wallet to show them that you’re on to their bullshit.

Food, Inc. is an alarming expose of the way food is produced and distributed in the United States. Interviewing investigators, journalists and farmers, filmmaker Robert Kenner shows how almost everything we eat is produced and distributed by a very few huge multinational corporations, such as Monsanto and Tyson, and that quality of nutrition is secondary to production cost and corporate profits. Presented statistics, expert opinions and commentaries by whistle-blowing farmers are shocking. Even worse, footage showing inhumane, unhealthy and unsanitary conditions of livestock and of food industry workers is horrific.

Founded in 2015 by actress/gender-equality advocate Geena Davis and ARC Entertainment executive Trevor Drinkwater, the Bentonville Film Festival (BFF) concluded its third annual week of, as it proudly says in its mission statement, “championing women and diverse voices in media.” The 2017 festival ran from May 2-7, with 70 films — episodic content, shorts, and feature-length dramas and documentaries — competing in several jury- and audience-awarded categories.
