Alexandra Shipp, Kelli O’Hara added to Netflix’s adaptation of ‘All the Bright Places’

Netflix is in production on a feature adaptation of Jennifer Niven’s’ 2015 best-selling young-adult novel “All the Bright Places” that will feature Alexandra Shipp (“X-Men: Apocalypse”), Keegan-Michael Key (“The Predator”), Luke Wilson (“The Skeleton Twins”) and Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara (Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why”), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Elle Fanning (“Maleficent”) and Justice Smith (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”) will star in as two teenagers struggling with mental illness whose paths cross. Filming is underway in Cleveland, Ohio.

“Runaways” actor Virginia Gardner, CBS’ “Happy Together” star Felix Mallard, “The Hate U Give” actor Lamar Johnson and “Bad Samaritan” performer Sofia Hasmik also have been cast.

Brett Haley, who directed the Sundance Film Festival favorite “Hearts Beat Loud,” will helm from a script by Niven and “The Post” writer Liz Hannah.

Fanning is producing alongside Mazur Kaplan’s Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan and Echo Lake’s Andrew Spaulding, Doug Mankoff and Brittany Kahan. Hannah, Robert Salerno, Kimi Armstrong Stein are executive producing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
