Navot Papushado’s action thriller “Gunpowder Milkshake” has tapped Carla Gugino (the films “Watchmen” and “American Gangster,” Netflix’s “The Haunting of Hill House”) as a lethal assassin in the film’s final bit of casting, according to Deadline.

As previously reported, Gugino joins a star-studded cast including Karen Gillan (“Avengers: Endgame”), Lena Headey (“Game of Thrones”), Michelle Yeoh (“Crazy Rich Asians”), Angela Bassett (“Black Panther”) and Paul Giamatti (“Billions”).

The script, which Papushado (half of the duo behind the dark Israeli breakout “Big Bad Wolves”) penned with Ehud Lavski, is described as centering on a mother-daughter assassin duo played by Gillan and Headey, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Like Yeoh, Gugino will play part of a sisterhood of secret arms dealers who come together to help Gillan’s character when things go south. Production is scheduled to start June 3 in Berlin.

Gugino, who starred in the 2015 action-adventure San Andreas, which is reportedly getting a sequel, and will next get in action mode in Cinemax’s hotly tipped “Jett,” which starts in June, and in which she plays the title role. Her other credits include “Sucker Punch,” “Sin City” and “Spy Kids.”
