Filmmaker Kelsey Taylor takes inspiration from Little Red Riding Hood in her haunting feature, To Kill A Wolf. The story follows a reclusive Woodsman as he spends his days searching for traps in the wilderness surrounding his cabin. He purposely triggers them to protect the animals. On one of his voyages, he discovers a half-frozen young girl and takes her to his cabin for rehabilitation.

EDA Awards @ Tallgrass Film Fest 2024: The Winners! – Jennifer Merin reports

The Alliance of Women Film Journalists partnered with Tallgrass Film Festival to present EDA Awards for Best Female Directed Films at the festival’s 22nd edition, held in Wichita, Kansas from October 24 to 27, 2024. This is the fourth consecutive year of the partnership. With “Stubbornly Independent” as its motto, Tallgrass Film Festival, named one of the world’s most important film festivals, was founded in 2003/ The festival aims to foster an appreciation of the cinematic arts by creating shared experiences around the international medium of film. Women in film are high priority on the festival’s agenda and the program presents a high percentage of female-directed films.
